glad it's over

this new wilco track almost slipped by me...probably because it was released exclusively on the heroes soundtrack...maybe they played the song during the closing credits of the final episode or something...anyway, the song is a sky blue sky outtake, which is pretty obvious after the first couple seconds, & probably deserved to be left off the album, but as a wilco completest i'm enjoying it quite a bit...the rest of the soundtrack has a couple interesting moments as well, with new tracks from the jesus & mary chain & iggy pop (with brighton port authority), plus a my morning jacket b-side & nice contributions from the new pornographers & david bowie (guess which song)...as a whole though, it's pretty unremarkable...kind of like the show.
