levon helm - dirt farmer

after losing his voice to throat cancer & his recording studio (the barn) to a fire, levon helm returns with his first solo studio album in 25 years, restored...dirt farmer, which comes out tomorrow, is pretty much what you'd expect it to be; rustic back porch roots rock from one of the greatest voices in american music...paste magazine's andy whitman did a nice write up on the album & basically summed up exactly how i felt when listening to it for the first time, that levon helm is "a national treasure, & we should sing his praises while we’ve still got him."
