check out this great audio interview with levon helm, recorded last month at his kitchen table after one of his famous midnight rambles (via when you awake)...& then check out a couple tracks from levon's 1977 studio release with the rco allstars (which i'm guessing was around the same time that picture up there was taken)...the rco allstars, by the way, were dr. john, booker t. jones, paul butterfield, steve cropper, donald 'duck' dunn, fred carter jr., howard johnson, alan rubin, lou marini, & tom 'bones' malone.
