i caught jason isbell at the belmont arts & music festival saturday night & he put on a pretty good show...he played some new material, as well as some drive-by truckers tunes & a couple nice covers (thin lizzy's "jailbreak" & eric clapton's "please be with me")...isbell's solo debut, sirens of the ditch, will be released on 07/10 & he'll be touring this summer with centro-matic (whose ft. recovery album was one of my favorites of last year)...check 'em out..
