Wilco confirmed Monday that the Chicago band will headline a Sept. 12 concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
It will be the sextet’s only summer concert appearance in the city following the release of its sixth studio album, “Sky Blue Sky,” and only the fourth concert by a rock act at the three-year-old pavilion.
Tickets ($45 for the pavilion, $10 for the lawn) go on sale at 11 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster. Tickets also will be available at the Vic Theatre box office for no service charge. There will be a limit of four pavilion seats or six lawn tickets per purchase. Bags and coolers will be checked at entry for prohibited items, which include glass bottles, cans and alcohol. Net proceeds will benefit the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.
