the latest from omaha's neva dinova is a pretty laid back, somewhat forgetful listen, full of lush, plodding arrangements that often fade out just as they're taking off...but, i still like it quite a bit, particularly when the band turns up the monitors & let's the reverb wash over everything on tracks like "clouds", "someone's trippin", & "apocalypse"...overall, the title really tells you everything you need to know about the album, which floats along like a foggy dream...neva dinova will be at schubas a week from thursday.April 22, 2008
